Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BridgeToFI ("Service," "we," "our") at bridgetofi.com.

🛡️ For Regular Calculator Users

The free calculator requires no account, no signup, and no personal data. Everything stays in your browser. The terms below regarding accounts, payments, and data handling apply only to Advisor Portal subscribers.

1. Acceptable Use

Personal Use (Free)

BridgeToFI is free for individuals planning their own finances. Personal users may use the full calculator, generate PDF reports (which include a "Generated by BridgeToFI" watermark), and share results via links or file exports.

Commercial Use (Professional License Required)

A Professional License ($99/month) is required if you use BridgeToFI in any commercial capacity, including but not limited to: creating financial projections for clients, generating reports for client presentations, or using the tool as part of paid advisory services. The Professional License grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right for one individual to use the Service commercially.

2. Professional License Terms

3. Payment

Professional License subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

We may change pricing with 30 days written notice. Existing subscribers will retain their current rate for at least 90 days after a pricing change is announced.

4. Data Ownership

You own the scenario data you create. We process your data solely to provide the Service. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Upon account deletion, we permanently remove your data within 30 days.

5. Not Financial Advice

BridgeToFI is a planning calculator for educational and illustrative purposes only. It does not constitute financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. All projections are hypothetical estimates based on user-provided assumptions and may not reflect actual future results. Past performance does not guarantee future returns. Monte Carlo simulations, stress tests, and success probabilities are statistical models. They illustrate possible outcomes, not predictions.

If you are a financial advisor using this tool with clients, you bear sole responsibility for the advice you provide. Your use of this tool does not create an advisory relationship between BridgeToFI and your clients. If you are subject to fiduciary duty under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 or similar regulations, use of this tool does not satisfy your fiduciary obligations. You remain responsible for conducting appropriate due diligence, assessing suitability, and providing advice in your clients' best interests. Reports or projections shared with clients may constitute "advertisements" under SEC Rule 206(4)-1; it is your responsibility to ensure compliance with applicable marketing and recordkeeping rules.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BridgeToFI and its creator(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

7. Indemnification

If you use BridgeToFI commercially, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless BridgeToFI, its creator(s), and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your commercial use of the Service or any advice you provide to your clients using the Service.

8. Accuracy and Bugs

We make reasonable efforts to ensure calculation accuracy but do not guarantee that the Service is free from errors. Financial calculations involve assumptions that may not hold true. You are responsible for verifying results against independent sources before making any financial decisions.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the Professional License at any time. We may terminate immediately for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your access to Pro features ceases at the end of the billing period. Saved scenario data is retained for 90 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted.

10. Privacy

Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We encourage advisors to use client nicknames rather than full legal names when creating scenarios.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Intellectual Property

The BridgeToFI™ calculator, including all software code, calculation engines, simulation algorithms, user interface designs, documentation, and related materials (collectively, "Software"), is the proprietary property of BridgeToFI and is protected by United States and international copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved. Regardless of whether you are a free or paid user, you may not:

Personal License: Free users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for personal financial planning only.

Professional License: Advisor Portal subscribers receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software commercially for one named user, subject to the restrictions above and the Professional License Terms in Section 2.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of the jurisdiction in which BridgeToFI's principal owner resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by a mutually agreed-upon arbitration service, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction for violations of intellectual property rights.

14. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculation results will be accurate under all circumstances.
